About me

My mom's a retired librarian. She went to library school because she didn't know what else to do. I didn't know what else to do either, so I followed in her footsteps. Upon graduation, I was hired by the National Center on Public Education at the University of Rhode Island as their web designer. That was in 1999. I live in Seattle now, but I continue to work with NCPE.

I'm also doing freelance web design and development, often working with ONE/Northwest and with Red Bricks Media in San Francisco.

The photos you'll find here are some of my favorites. I'm not a serious photographer; I really like to mess around with old Polaroid Land Cameras, or one of my plastic Holgas. Last year I bought my first digital camera -- a little Elph -- and boy does that make picture-taking easy.

When I'm not nerding out at my computer, I like to knit and sew. You can see a few of my projects here.
